EUDR compliance software: file straight into TRACES.
Who is it for?
Your duties depend on where you sit in the chain.

Operators and traders
Operators (the first entity to place a product on the EU market) and traders carry full due diligence duties under EUDR, including DDS filing.
Less compliance work, independently verified
How it works
1. Request
Product Origin Request
Send a Product Origin Request for one product or a whole category.
With Prewave, your requests are routed to the real producer automatically: if the supplier isn’t the producer, they’re prompted to forward it down the chain with ready-made guidance. The response then feeds straight into the DDS.
)
2. Check
Deforestation Check
As soon as a plot’s geolocation is submitted, it’s checked against forest-loss data since the EU’s 2020 cutoff.
Prewave’s legality assessment verifies deforestation and legality automatically. Legality is documented separately through producer questionnaires covering land use, environmental protection, labour, and human rights.
)
3. Generate
DDS Generation
A due diligence statement only generates once the deforestation and legality checks both come back clear. Nothing files on an incomplete picture.
For supplementary units (wood, pulp, rubber, and cattle need a second quantity measure beyond net weight) in a unit fixed by the HS code. Prewave applies the right unit automatically, so the operator only has to provide the quantity.
)
4. File
TRACES Filing
Every product is matched against TRACES’ current in-scope HS codes.
Via Prewave, the completed DDS is submitted directly into the government system. No retyping into the TRACES portal, and the confirmation returns TRACES’ own reference number.

Everything you need to know.
- The EU Deforestation Regulation (EUDR) requires companies that place cattle, cocoa, coffee, palm oil, rubber, soy, wood, or timber – and products derived from them – on the EU market to prove those products are deforestation-free (not grown on land deforested after 31 December 2020) and legally produced under the laws of the country of production.
