Supplier Scoping
Supplier Scoping with Prewave: How it Works
1
Select Top Clusters
Begin by selecting the top clusters that your suppliers belong to – for example those located in a specific region or who supply a certain commodity – in order to narrow down your field of focus.
2
Refine the Supplier List
From your selected clusters of interest, you can further refine the list of suppliers who may have a greater impact on your operations should disruptions occur. This provides a complete overview of high-priority targets.
3
Engage with High-Priority Suppliers
Identify and follow up with the specific suppliers from your refined list by initiating monitoring and interventions as required. This may include planning backup logistics routes or investing in safety stock.
4
Save Suppliers as Collections
Save the suppliers generated from the scoping process as collections. You can refer to these collections later and utilise them in other parts of the Prewave platform, for instance in reporting for legislation like the LkSG, CSDDD and CSRD.
Scoping for Proactive Supply Chain Risk Management
Scoping: The Prewave Difference
Identify high risk suppliers
Prewave’s scoping helps you hone in on suppliers with the highest potential risk, helping you deal with the highest-impact issues first.
Simplify regulatory compliance
Your scoping efforts on the Prewave platform can be used to fulfil the requirements of legislation including the CSDDD, LkSG and CSRD.
Increase alert relevancy
By focusing monitoring efforts, you can reduce irrelevant notifications, ensure you receive highly targeted alerts, and reduce confusion for your team.
Manage risk confidently
Focus on high-priority suppliers to improve KPIs such as supplier violations identified, remediation rate, and the number of high-risk suppliers in your network.
