Prewave Sustainability Ranking: Mining

The mining industry is typically at the epicentre of sustainability risks, with pollution and unethical labour alerts showing up frequently in this ranking. Glencore alone amassed 16 alerts already this year, the latest being a spill of sulphuric acid in the Congo (https://l.prewave.com/GeXIf), corruption (https://l.prewave.com/THVdY) and run-ins with local communities (https://l.prewave.com/9SBUF).

Riot Tinto also generated a lot of alerts in the past year, ranging from human rights violations (https://l.prewave.com/q6Pic) to corporate wrongdoing accusations (https://l.prewave.com/OQZuM) to pollution (https://l.prewave.com/bnTDp).

These are far from the only issues in the mining industry. Find out more in our Mining Industry Ranking, covering thousands of mines and mining organisations.
